The Metterra Hotel on Whyte

I recently went on a bit of a staycation, heading to Whyte Avenue in my home town, Edmonton, Alberta and I thought I would share this hotel with you, as it is worth sharing.

The Metterra Hotel on Whyte is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of downtown YEG. A person would never know that it is right in the heart of the action, and they make extra sure you don’t once you’re tucked in for the night!

Getting down to the basic elements, you can choose from rooms inspired by Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. I don’t think it matters too much, as you’ll find comfort whichever you stay in.

Besides, the view is fantastic from any angle, and at any time.

A thoughtful touch for all guests to enjoy was their wine and cheese tasting in the early evening, perfect before heading out for a night on the town. I love a good charcuterie! Even better than the complimentary evening snack, was the included breakfast. It was the best complimentary breakfast I’ve ever had, with so many healthy options and definitely no plastic-tasting eggs to be found. The little already made smoothie’s are a perfect start to any day.

There’s no need to worry about parking during your stay either, as valet parking is complimentary too!
