4 Day London Highlights (in December)
This is a 4 day itinerary for London based on my recent trip there. I have made a four day itinerary for London before, and you can check it out here. The last trip I spent more time inside sights, and it was a bit more expensive. This itinerary is more of a walking tour and almost everything is free! I went during December, so London is full of Christmas stuff then, and I've included some of the best places to see the lights here.Day 1: Arrive London. Walk through Kensington Palace Gardens and Hyde Park to Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guard at 11:30. Then, head on through St James Park to Parliament Square to see Westminster Abbey, the Winston Churchill Statue, Big Ben, etc. Go north to Trafalgar Square and then on to Piccadilly Circus. Shop along Regent Street and Oxford Street, visiting Selfridges and other famous shops.Day 2: Visit one of London’s attractions in the morning, before riding the Coca-Cola London Eye. Head over to The Tower of London and the Tower Bridge before heading to the British Museum for the afternoon. Head to Covent Garden for dinner.Day 3: Visit Portobello Road in the morning, walking along Little Venice, before checking out Abbey Road. Sunset at Regent’s Park before dinner. Since we went in December, we headed to Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland.Day 4: Check out the free museums, stopping at Harrods for some lux shopping. We spent the late afternoon at Somerset House skating and visiting their Fortnum & Masons. Eat your last dinner in London at a pub.I hope you've enjoyed my London Highlights. This itinerary can be used any time of the year, even if mine is based on December!
