The next day of our Greek Isles cruise was spent at sea; it felt amazing to have a day to relax and just enjoy the ship after all of our busy touring. We enjoyed a relaxed buffet breakfast and suntanned on Deck 10 all morning.

The Royal Caribbean staff invited everyone on board to join them as they did a Walk for Wishes, raising funds to fulfill children’s dreams. Baba participated, but Julianna and I sat back in the now empty hot tub. We later took our lunch outside, somehow still not getting enough sun. It wasn’t until later when we had to get ourselves ready for the ships second formal night, that we abandoned the sunshine filled deck.

The evening started in the Edelweiss dining room, feasting on roast and splitting a bottle of champagne. When the waiter sought out confirmation on which bottle we wanted, I hastily said, “the cheapest one,” in the most elegant fashion. Though it didn’t cost an arm and a leg, it was divine all the same.

After dinner, we strolled around the Centrum and watched all the beautifully dressed passengers waltz around. A photographer was taking portraits of people in front of a backdrop designed after the grand staircase in the Titanic movie. The music playing was wonderful and really added to the atmosphere.

I feel like cruising gives everyone the chance to dress up and play royalty. For families, for young couples, for elderly singles - anyone really - cruising has something for them, and gives everyone the opportunity to experience things and see things that they might never get to. I reflected about how much my view on cruising had changed since we first looked into booking our Greek Isles cruise, and I was glad that it did.

Although I could have sat out all night dressed up and enjoying the ambiance, I went to bed early with the others so we could get up for our early morning tour starting from the cruise port of Naples, Italy.
