Rocky Mountain Soap Co. Skincare Review
Ever since I started using the Rocky Mountain Soap Co skincare line, I cannot get over how well my skin has been. I have used and loved their products for years, but their skincare line is a pretty recent addition to their product lineup. I really love their toxin-free movement, and how they care for what we put into the environment and our bodies just as much as they care about making us feel and look awesome. Supporting a local company from my home province, Alberta, is also really important to me, so I am happy to share this product that is so well made with you. The packaging is minimalist and beautiful, but it’s what’s on the inside that counts. The oil based cleanser has been a life-saver for my pores. I had the very nasty habit of not washing off my makeup at night (I know, so bad!) but because I don’t need to use water with this stuff I can keep it right in my room and wipe off my daily face with a cotton pad.The toner has an amazing smell, and it’s so refreshing to spritz your newly cleansed face. I have the Calming Toner because my skin can be quite sensitive, but they do have a few options. Between these two products, I’d say you’re set! But of course, I couldn’t stop there.Although these two don’t rid me of my natural oils and dry out my skin like a lot of other products do, I love the added luxury of their Face Serum for night time. I have the Restorative Face Serum (it smells like pomegranate!) and I swear it makes my wrinkles disappear: especially those fine lines I’ve been getting on my forehead (oh to be in my teens again!).The Day Cream is especially nice and also smells lovely. I haven’t tried the eye cream yet, as I’m finishing up a bottle from another brand, but I can’t wait. I purchased the men’s line for my boyfriend and he particularly likes the Men’s Soothing Face Cream. It’s great for when the outside wind has dried out his face but doesn’t make him too oily. Another two of my favourite face-related products are their Vanilla Coconut Revitalizing Face Polish and Peppermint Lip Scrub. The polish is a very gentle exfoliator, that’s strong enough to really clean out your pores without drying your skin and damaging it. I wouldn’t leave it at home for a holiday, that’s for sure! It’s a dry product so you mix it with water or oil to use it, so it’s not a pesky liquid taking up space in your carry-on (so great for traveling). As an added bonus, the Vanilla Coconut scent is my personal favourite from the whole store; I even have a body scrub that smells the same! The Lip Scrub is perfect for someone like myself who has a tendency to bite their lip and dry it out. Hope you all enjoyed my review on Rocky Mountain Soap Co.’s skincare line. I really urge you all to give it a look and try it for yourself. You can order online, but the staff is always so helpful in stores, and the atmosphere is perfect to find your next favourite beauty bag item.
