Arriving in Edinburgh, Scotland

When our flight approached Edinburgh, I couldn’t take my eyes away from the window. The sky was clear and I could see beautiful green rolling hills and the North Sea. You could see Arthurs Seat and Edinburgh Castle towering about the city. The airport was small and easy to get through. We hopped aboard a bus heading to the city centre. In just a short while, we were walking past Edinburgh Castle to our hotel. We were staying at the B+B Edinburgh Hotel. You can read my review on it here. After cleaning ourselves up, we set out towards the Royal Mile, walking through Princes Street Gardens on the way there, soaking up the lovely little city.We started near the castle, visiting a cathedral and peaking into various closes. Then headed downhill towards Arthurs Seat, catching the hill basking in the suns glow.We visited the Tartan Weaving Mill (read more about it here). We had a reservation at the Scotch Whisky Experience that evening, you can read more about the Platinum Tour and Tasting here. As we waited, we stepped downstairs to have the most delicious whisky hot chocolate to warm up.Our first day in Scotland was a success.*note - I will be adding the links as the posts are published.
