Dalwhinnie Whisky Distillery

The Dalwhinnie Whisky Distillery was a great place to stop in the Cairngorms, not very far off the main road to Edinburgh from the north. It was really traditional, and housed inside a strikingly white building.Dalwhinnie DistilleryAs Scotland’s highest and coldest distillery, it produces some really excellent whisky. The chocolate they gave us was delicious, and I was surprised at how well the whisky went with the thick, creamy hot chocolate.Dalwhinnie distilleryDalwhinnie Whisky DistilleryAfter learning about Scotland’s favourite drink at the Scotch Whisky Experience, it was nice to see a real working distillery. Unfortunately, I have no pictures from inside, as it wasn't allowed (all the better reason for you to check it out yourself!). I highly recommend trying a taste of Dalwhinnie.Dalwhinnie distillery
