The Inverleith Hotel in Edinburgh, Scotland
The Inverleith Hotel is just off a road that leads right into the heart of Edinburgh, making it easy to navigate. It’s right next to the Royal Botanical Gardens if that’s something you are interested in seeing (we didn’t end up getting there, so no review!).On our first night there, we headed to The Orchard just around the corner, as recommended to us by the front desk attendant. A busy local pub with decent food, it’s a quick and affordable place to dine. Derek really enjoyed the gigantic breaded fish and chips.

Our room at the hotel had a pretty four poster bed which made up for the minuscule bathroom.
Breakfast was not the best, but certainly not the worst we had in Scotland. We made sure to request the haggis with our full Scottish breakfast, because haggis just adds flavour to everything!
Overall, the Inverleith Hotel was a pretty reasonable place to stay within Edinburgh city limits.
