During our time in Dublin, Ireland, my boyfriend and I stayed near the Iveagh Gardens, in a hotel by the same name.

The Iveagh Garden Hotel

Outside of the Iveagh Gardens Hotel in the heart of Dublin Ireland. One of the best places to stay there.

When searching for a place to stay in Dublin, I found an amazing deal on Expedia, and went for it. It's a brand new boutique hotel in the perfect location, and I would highly recommend booking it, even at full price.

The place oozes charm and sophistication. It's very reminiscent of hotels from a bygone era, and is as far from a cookie cutter chain hotel as you can get.

The lobby is luxurious; I honestly could have sat there soaking up the decor all day. I took a million pictures of the interior instead.

These bookcases are very Art Deco to me, which I think is so unique to find across the pond.

Each room is a little oasis of much needed peace and quiet in the heart of the bustling city that is Dublin. I think this might have been the comfiest bed we slept in during our time in Ireland.

The rooms were unexpectedly spacious for a big city and perfectly clean.

The bathroom was the cherry on top, with an amazing shower and tub. I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of bathtubs when traveling around cooler climates. Nothing takes away a chill at the end of the day like a hot bubble bath.

Iveagh Gardens

Even if you're not staying at the hotel, I urge you to check out Iveagh Gardens. Nicknamed Dublin's "Secret Garden", it's extremely charming, and very quiet compared to the city's other green spaces. Much of the garden is exactly as it would have been when it was first designed in 1865, as it was restored in the 1990s.

Iveagh Gardens is a little hidden gem. And by hidden, I mean hard to find. It's completely tucked away. Look for the little sign in the first picture for the entrance.

Elle's Bar & Bistro

Back at the Iveagh Garden Hotel is the lovely Elle's Bar & Bistro. They serve up an amazing buffet brunch each morning. The cocktails and dinner food are pretty delicious too. If you're looking for modern Irish fare, this is the place.

While most of Dublin's patios are overflowing on a warm, clear day, this one is serene. The aesthetic is made to match the rest of the hotel.

Overall, our stay at the Iveagh Garden Hotel was amazing. Not only was the decor beautiful, but the service and level of comfort and cleanliness were top notch. I would go back in a heartbeat. Y'all know I love a good AirBnB, but it's hotels like this that go the extra mile that make me willing to pay the extra dollar.

Besides, this place is close by all the Dublin highlights. Location, location, location when it comes to accommodation! What you pay in hotel prices, you'll make up for in not paying for transportation. (And yes, I know that all rhymes rather nicely.)
